Sunday September 9, CTQ2 will host our famous annual fly in with all the sweet corn you can eat and Beefalo burgers and other organic produce from our garden and orchard. Meal $15. CTQ2 has a very smooth 2,600′ grass runway. An air Inuit pilot said it felt just like it was paved. Everyone assumes their own risk by deciding to fly in. There are usually 20 to 50 airplanes of all sorts attending, all the way from a little Hummelbird to a big turboprop to acrobatic planes and homebuilts. We removed the small woods and long hill ridge to the East of the runway last year, so it seems there are possibly two parallel runways for about 1,500 feet. Our U-Pick garden and orchard are now open with Bodacious sweet corn, our own yellow potatoes good prepared any way you like, several sorts of tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, melons, tomatillos, fennel. peppers, and more. In the orchard are several kinds of pears, and disease resistant apples. We already have some planes flying in to pick fresh garden produce, and of course many drive in. The orchard is mowed and some have used it as a picnic spot. You can come any time. Just pick, check the price chart, weigh your stuff and leave the money in a container in the new garden shed. It is by the garden entrance gate, all just off the runway to the East about 200 feet.
